YouTube announced some updates to its nonprofit program.
One is the “Playbook Guide – YouTube for good”. This is described as a “how-this source specifically targeted at nonprofits with sections on how to create content, collect resources, connect with other members of the community, and more.”
The donate button also has been made more well-known.
Youtube’s Valerie Streit says, “Nonprofits plays a vital part role of the YouTube community, and their videos have educated and inspired audiences since the beginning of the site.”There are several organizations with millions of views on YouTube and dozens of more than 10 million views, such as Greenpeace, Khan Academy and UNICEF. “
There are above 16,000 non-profit organizations which are concerned in the program.
